Marlo Goldstein, founder Adelante Services

Marlo Goldstein, founder of Adelante Language and Cultural Services, fell in love with Spanish language and culture during her junior year of college at North Carolina State University when she decided to study for a semester in Madrid, Spain. This experience set her on her path in life; languages and cultures became her passion as well as her profession.

Marlo has had a ten-year career in International Education focusing on Spanish language programs, volunteer/internship placements, and study abroad. During her career in this field, she had extensive opportunities to live, work, and travel throughout Latin America. Her experiences in the region and her graduate work in Intercultural Communications have allowed her to develop fluency in Spanish and cross-cultural communication skills.

When Marlo returned to her hometown of Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 2005, she began her new career in the field on Conflict Management. The new direction provided opportunities to further develop her skills and apply them to new contexts. Through her work as Training Coordinator and Lead Trainer at the Dispute Settlement Center, she had the good fortune to work with a variety of educational institutions, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and local community members.

She now brings her worldwide experience to Portland Oregon. In May 2007, Marlo launched Adelante Services uniting all her past experiences to offer a wide range of services to anyone interested in improving their communication skills. Whether you want to learn Spanish, better skills for handling conflict in your personal or professional life, or new strategies for approaching interpersonal situations, Adelante can help you move forward towards your goals.
