I first visited Costa Rica in 1992.
It was love at first site and I have since returned countless times to live, study, work, and travel.
If you love nature and a friendly, easy-going environment, then Costa Rica is the place for you.

Heredia
A university city in the central valley, about 30 minutes from San Jose. This small city offers an active night life, a peace central plaza, and a great central market. The school is right downtown in restored colonial style building with an inner garden area. They also have a strong English as a Second Language program which means that lots of local people hang out here too…a great way to meet people and practice your Spanish. Ask me about the summer program for teenagers.

Samara Beach
This Spanish school sits overlooking one of my favorite beaches in Costa Rica which boasts 7 kms of pristine, tree-lined coast. This school is the sister campus of the school in Heredia…it’s great to combine the two!

Alajuela
Located in the Central Valley area (about 45-60 mins by bus to San Jose), this school is located in the lush countryside with astounding views of the surrounding mountains. Classes are offered in small huts or a covered outdoor classroom. But don't be fooled by the natural, rustic environment...this school offers one of the most rigorous language programs with an extensive extracurricular activity schedule. Ask me about special programs offered by this school.
